<p>Free Fall is similar in concept to previous paratrooper types like Ripcord and Airborne, but he successfully carves out his own little special niche in my Joeverse, thanks to a word that applies all around to this figure: unique. ...</p>

I wasn&#8217;t a fan of it as a kid, even though it was heavily used in the Sunbow animated series. It was meant as a fast-attack vehicle, and I can see that, but I always thought it looked more like something to be driven in a weird cross-country rally than an attack vehicle. I&#8217;ll refrain from stating the obvious about the unprotected state of everyone riding in this thing, but the open cockpit design did lend itself very well to dialogue scenes in the cartoon.</p>

Sometimes there was a bit of a shortage of army builders, or of a variant here and there. For the most part though, it was generally clear sailing to pick up entire waves in one go. That changed with the Infantry six pack. It seemed everyone and their brother wanted to army build these guys. I can&#8217;t blame them. For the most part, it was a great set.</p>
